По данным правительства Германии, грузовое движение по скоростным линиям, рассчитанным и на пассажиров, и на грузы, сильно ниже прогнозов. Например, на линии Нюрнберг–Ингольштадт в 2025 году грузовые поезда ходили лишь «изредка» при прогнозе около 100 в сутки.
